How Open Play Finder Uses Cookies

• Remember your preferences — such as your home court, skill level, and display settings — so the Platform feels familiar each time you return
• Understand how users navigate and interact with the Platform so we can improve features and fix problems
• Measure the performance of court listings, search results, and community content
• Serve contextual advertising relevant to the pickleball community and limit how often you see the same ad
• Detect fraud, abuse, and security threats

Types of Cookies We Use

The table below summarizes the categories of cookies used on the Platform, their purpose, and your control options:

Specific cookies may be added or removed as the Platform evolves. For an up-to-date list, please visit the cookie preferences tool in your account settings or the cookie banner on first visit.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on the Platform are set by third-party services that appear on our pages. These include:

• Analytics providers — such as Google Analytics, which helps us understand aggregate usage patterns. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and operates under Google's privacy policy.
• Map providers — such as Google Maps, which powers our court map feature. Embedding maps may result in cookies set by Google.
• Payment processors — such as Stripe, which sets cookies during payment flows for event registrations. Stripe's cookies are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
• Advertising partners — contextual advertising served on the Platform may involve cookies set by our ad partners. We do not permit interest-based tracking cookies from advertising partners.

We do not control third-party cookies and cannot access the data they collect. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of any third-party services you interact with through the Platform.

Cookie Lifespan

Session cookies are temporary. They exist only while your browser is open and are automatically deleted when you close it. We use session cookies for authentication and to maintain your current browsing session.

Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time — typically between 30 days and 2 years — or until you delete them. We use persistent cookies to remember your preferences and to analyze how the Platform is used over time.

Your Cookie Choices

You have several options to control or limit how cookies are used:

Cookie preferences tool. When you first visit the Platform, you will be presented with a cookie banner that allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences by category. You can revisit and update your preferences at any time through your account settings.

Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a new cookie is set. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions. Note that disabling all cookies will affect the functionality of many websites, not just ours.

Opt-out tools. You may opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For advertising cookies, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool.

Do Not Track. Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track (DNT) signal. The Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals, as there is no industry-wide standard for how they should be interpreted. We will revisit this as standards develop.

Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core features of the Platform. All other cookie categories can be disabled without losing access to basic browsing functionality.

Cookies and Personal Data

Some cookies collect data that may be considered personal information when combined with other data we hold, such as your account details or usage history. Where cookies process personal data, that processing is governed by our Privacy Policy.

We do not use cookies to collect sensitive personal data such as health information, financial account details, or precise location data beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

Data collected via analytics and advertising cookies is typically aggregated and not linked back to your individual identity by Open Play Finder.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, certain cookie-based data sharing with advertising partners may constitute a sale or sharing of personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), even where no money changes hands.

You have the right to opt out of such sharing. You can exercise this right by:

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as we introduce new features, use new technologies, or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, display a refreshed cookie banner so you can review and update your preferences.

Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
